A varied bag of goodies again this week, a musical pick n’ mix if you will.
1) The Shamen are best known for releasing “Ebeneezer Goode”, a track banned by the BBC because of its rather blatant endorsement of recreational drug use (naughty, naughty, very naughty). We don’t condone that sort of behavior on this site, but we fully support love, sex and intelligence.
2) David Moufang (better known as Move D) is a producer and DJ from South West Germany. It’s impossible to pin his style down to one genre, his tracks blend ambient with techno, disco with jazz, house with soul. Released way back in 1993, this piano-led number still sounds so fresh today.
3) St George’s Day may have passed us all by over the weekend, but it provided a great excuse to celebrate the works of the many Georges in the music world. American R&B legend George Benson was spreading a positive message with this track in 1982.
